The luxury chalets in Meribel have largely created the wonderful alpine atmosphere that this famous Three Valleys ski resort is known for. Meribel is without doubt one of the most attractive resorts in the French Alps and the view of the resort caught in the glow of the late afternoon sun is unforgettable.

There are hundreds of chalet properties in Meribel but to make things easier for you we have selected the ‘best of the best’. Chalet locations in Meribel

Meribel is a large resort and sprawls up the west facing lower slopes of the Saulire Mountain from 1,450m (the resort centre and base of the main lifts at Chaudanne) to 1,700m (the uppermost region of the resort). There are several luxury chalets in Meribel which offer easy ski in and ski out access via the Doron piste (blue grade) but for the most part the best Meribel chalets are not located near the piste and therefore come with a private driver service.

Chalet properties at the top of Meribel, in the Bellevedere and Rond Point areas, enjoy longer direct daylight hours as well as close proximity to some excellent nursery slopes and the exciting après ski bars of the Folie Douce and ‘Ronnies’. With their elevated west facing views across the main resort and valley chalets here are highly sought after and command higher rental values than properties lower down the resort. However, the luxury chalets located on the lower Route de la Renarde have the benefit of allowing guests easy walking access to the main resort centre with its choice of bars and shops.

The luxury Meribel chalets found in the Mussillon area of resort are neither close to the resort centre nor the pistes/main lifts but they do offer a quiet location and some lovely mountain views across the Meribel Valley. These chalets nearly all come with a driver service so that guests can easily access all parts of Meribel.

It is important to understand the differences between one luxury chalet company and another. This is where our advice and help is invaluable. We know the people behind all the different chalet companies and we understand their individual approach to guest hospitality. Some will offer a very formal in-resort service with polite, professional staff on hand to serve their guests, and others offer a more informal, friendlier service (but no less professional).
