Villars, Switzerland

Boasting a fabulous luxury hotel, Villars (and adjoining Les Diablerets) is one of those resorts that is often unfairly overlooked by British skiers when choosing a destination for their next ski holiday.

It is a pretty resort close to Geneva (which makes it a great weekend resort) and has a surprisingly large ski area best suited to intermediate skiers. However, there are some good beginner slopes and there is a spectacular off-piste route off the back of the Les Diablerets glacier at over 3,000 metres all the way down to the village - best done with a qualified mountain guide!

Please note that with the slow mountain train access from the resort to the main ski area (takes 20 minutes), some old T bar lifts and some slow chair lifts this is not a resort for those in a hurry.

The village itself is very well suited for guests looking for luxury ski holidays or a nice 3 star hotel, with a selection of properties available in resort. The 5-star Royalp Hotel and Spa, is available for guests looking to add that uber-luxurious touch to their stay here.
