The Alta Pura is Val Thorens' first 5 star hotel and it brings a new level of luxurious living to the resort. This is the latest addition to the Sibuet Hotels & Spa Group which also features the finest selection of hotels in Megeve (Fermes de Marie, Mont Blanc, Lodge Park, Au Coin du Feu etc).
There is a modern bar and two further restaurants in the hotel. The "2.mille.3" which serves lunch on the sun terrace and also the "La Laiterie" which serves a delicious dairy based menu (raclette & fondue, and for puddings, gateaux and cheesecakes - yum!). There is also the outside bar providing an afternoon service perfect for tea with the family. Surrounded by heated parasols, guests could also enjoy a glass of vin chaud or some chilled champagne whilst admiring the winter setting sun.
The Altapura's magic also captures all the new technologies available in today's very modern world. From interactive touch screens to i-Phone/i-Pod docking stations and the Mac Mini in the bedrooms, you can find or experiment with all the possibility offered by these high-tech gadgets to access or exchange information. You can swap pictures or videos of your exploits on a big screen, programme the DJ on the terrace, see the mouth-watering Enfants Terribles restaurant menu on screen, etc.
Lastly there is the Altapura Skishop which can provide all the very latest equipment (to hire or buy). This shop has direct ski-in ski-out access and is also situated next to guests' ski lockers - convenience is guaranteed.
Val Thorens is the highest resort in the Alps and one of the most snow sure, with North facing slopes guaranteeing good snow for a long season. The extensive local slopes suit all abilities, including convenient, gentle nursery slopes and there is also good access to the rest of the vast Three Valleys network.

Facilities
There is a 1,000 square metre spa 'experience' which includes an indoor/outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and gym. The "Nordic spiral" is a zone with alternating dry and humid heat punctuated by cascading showers and ending with a frozen-snow rubdown in the igloo - it all sounds delightful!. After that experience why not then treat yourself to a pine-scented relaxation session or a Scandinavian massage with an oil specific to three conifers to complete your journey to total well-being. There are various treatment rooms and a whole host of wonderful treatments available. All bedrooms are equipped with HD TV providing access to satellite channels, Pay TV for all the family, Wi-Fi and proper Apple IT facility (Facebook, Twitter, office suite etc.). All rooms also come equipped with an i-Pod dock, special luggage storage space and of course a mini-bar and hairdryer.
