Chalet Pierre Avoi, Verbier, Switzerland

Tucked away in the secluded Plan-Praz area of Verbier, luxury chalet Pierre Avoi is a stunning mountain retreat comprising of 300 square metres of living space. Laid out over three floors, the chalet sleeps between 12 and 14 guests in seven bedrooms, all with private bathrooms and flat screen TV.

The interior has been beautifully designed, with contemporary art works adorning the natural mineral walls and elegant furniture throughout. The chalet's heart is its double height living area, complete with roaring stone fireplace and floor to ceiling windows, which open up to a huge south and south-west facing decked terrace.

Some may find the sanctuary of the outdoor hot tub the perfect place to relax after a long day on the slopes, taking in the jaw-dropping views of Combins and the Mont Blanc massif, whilst others may opt for a sauna, or massage in the chalet's own treatment room.

There is also a second spacious sitting room downstairs, ideal for children with its large screen, Wii console and selection of games and toys.

The bustling resort centre and the main lift stations of Medran and Savoleyres are a mere five-minute chauffeured drive away.

With well over 50 luxury Verbier chalets (a number that is constantly growing) it's not hard to see why this world famous ski resort is popular with the rich, famous and wealthy from around the world. The party scene in this vibrant resort is as well known as the fantastic skiing so for a holiday in Verbier you need to be fully fit and on your party A game. Parties stretch long into the small hours and if it's a powder day the next day you will be expected to be up the lifts early in the morning. There's no rest for the wicked in Verbier! The resort centre of Verbier offers some great shopping and the sports centre will keep non skiers happy also. There are some world class restaurants here and the views across to the Dents du Midi mountain range are always spectacular. Verbier has to be in the top five of anyone's best ski resorts list so we would suggest booking a ski holiday here soon!
