Chalet Les Ours is the combination of two of Val d'Isere's finest chalet properties: Chalet Orso and Chalet Orca.

The Chalet Orso is a large (520 square metres) property set on the slope overlooking the village of Le Fornet. Its commanding position gives amazing views over the old village and towards the Le Fornet Mountain and the enormous windows make maximum effect. With a spacious and comfortable sitting room and a super spa area (with pool, sauna and gym) it's quite possible that you may not go skiing at all! As well as the indoor spa area there is also a Norwegian hot tub on the south facing balcony that offers the same magnificent views. There is also a games room mezzanine at the top of the chalet with extra such as table football, pinball machine, Jukebox and TV with games console. There is not much that this chalet lacks!

Chalet Orca is next door and has the same elevated and commanding position. This five-story luxury chalet offers stunning views over the old village of Le Fornet and the local mountain from most of the rooms. The top floor sitting and dining room offers majestic views through the floor to ceiling windows - the size of which we have not seen before (6 metres x 6 metres). The views over the stone clad buildings of Le Fornet are accompanied by the superb service offered by the chalet staff. There is a professional chef, driver, housekeeping and butler all there to make your stay run smoothly whilst at the same time offering you the best alpine experience. In the lower floor of this 420 square metre chalet is a luxury spa area. This offers guests an indoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam, Jacuzzi and gym equipped with the latest Concept 2 ski-erg, if a day skiing on some of the best mountains in the Alps is not enough. The pool with its flow-jet is heated up to 27 degrees (you can control the temperature) and the hot tub is heated to 34 degrees.

There is a team of staff on hand to make your stay easy and manage your holiday. A professional chef cooks breakfast and dinner, a butler will help serve and clear away; a driver is on-call to whisk you where-ever you want to go (within Val d'Isere) and a daily housekeeping service will keep the chalet looking at its best.

We love the authenticity of Le Fornet it makes you feel very much in the mountains. On a powder day you will be first up the lifts for some of the best off-piste terrain this side of the Buggaboos.
