The fabulous luxury Chalet Lapin Blanc in Meribel was refurbished during the summer of 2007. It has one of the most enviable positions in Meribel. Over two million euros was spent in making this one of the most luxurious chalets available to rent in Meribel.
A ski in / ski out chalet situated at the bottom of the Georges Mauduit piste, which means it is only seconds from the main lift centre of Meribel and the ski school meeting points. Yet the chalet is only a short walk from the centre of Meribel. Situated on the East side of the valley the chalet has wonderful views towards the Tougnette side of the mountain.
The accommodation is on 4 floors spread over 460 square meters of living space and sleeps 14 people in six large king/twin bedded and one super king bedded room all with en-suite bathrooms. Additionally four small children can sleep in the children's playroom/cinema on the ground floor. It is also possible to have extra beds for young children in several rooms if required.
On the main (second) floor the enormous (80 square metres) sitting/dining room is the heart of the chalet. There is a central open log fire between the sitting room and dining room. Ample seating in the dining area for 14 guests and the sitting room is double height open to the mezzanine above and faces south with views through the large picture windows which open on to the sun terrace. The chalet also has an outdoor hot tub.
On the ground floor, which is where you enter the chalet, is located a ski room with heated boot warmers and glove warmers, sauna, cinema/games room and garage.
The luxury chalet Lapin Blanc has been finished to a luxurious standard with finishings sourced both locally and from England. Local wood and stone will feature prominently with luxurious furnishings and furniture. Bedrooms will be carpeted throughout and each is decorated individually. Beds are super king size zip and link Hypnos beds to give you that perfect nights sleep. The sitting room is light and airy with comfortable sofas and floored with extra wide oak floorboards.
Simply one of the best chalets in Meribel.
Note from Alpine Answers: To give you a further idea of the service you can expect - an in-chalet ski and boot fitting service, your lift pass waiting for you on arrival (cost of pass not included in price); bed linen is Egyptian cotton, Goose down duvets, luxury dressing gowns and slippers for all guests; fresh flowers, daily newspapers and magazines; the champagne is Veuve Clicquot or Taittinger; the chalet tea selection from the Canton Tea Company, Nespresso coffee machine and the bath toiletries provided by Neals Yard. Everything about the service provided by this Meribel specialist luxury chalet company is of the very highest order.
On its own, Meribel is a fantastic, challenging mountain for most beginners and intermediate skiers. Once the enormous scope of the Three Valleys region is included, it becomes one of the Alps' outstanding ski areas. Just look at the stats: 600km of pistes and 183 lifts and that does not include the vast amount of off-piste terrain. Yes, Meribel does have a strong British influence having being discovered by a Brit, but once tried you will find yourself going back year after year for the simple fact that it is one of the best ski resorts in Europe.
