Chalet Le Moulin, Courchevel Le Praz, France

Chalet Le Moulin is set to become one of Courchevel Le Praz's landmark properties. It occupies a unique position at the entrance to the resort on the Rue du Lac. As the name suggests this road skirts the edge of the lake (frozen over in the winter months) and the chalet has stupendous views across it towards the Alpinium building at the base of the lifts. The chalet's balconies and large windows face west across the frozen lake giving guests unrivalled views.

The main lift station (a new highspeed gondola which accesses Courchevel 1850 in just 6 minutes) is just 150 metres in one direction and the centre of the resort less than 100 metres in the other. The home piste leading down into resort and to the lift station literally passes the chalet so that guests can ski directly back to the chalet at the end of the day.

The chalet offers 400 square metres of space which includes a lower floor dedicated to an indoor spa and private cinema. The spa offers a steam room, massage room and relaxation area. However, it is the outdoor Nordic hot tub and barrel sauna which steal the show with their amazing position overlooking the lake.

Chalet Le Moulin has six main guest bedrooms (with en-suite facilities and TV). One of the rooms also has a set of bunk beds which makes the maximum occupancy of 14 guests. The uppermost floor of the property is a large open plan sitting and dining area arranged around a central fireplace. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and bar area. Guests will marvel at the unique lake view thanks to the oversized windows and large west facing terrace.
